George J. Harrison served as Senior Agronomist and Superintendent of the U.S. Cotton Field Station in Shafter, California from 1934-1952. Biography George John Harrison was born in Texas on August 19, 1894. He served as Senior Agronomist and Superintendent of the U.S. Cotton Field Station in Shafter, California from 1934-1952 and developed Acala 4-42 cotton for California.
